Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame Golf Scramble

Twenty-nine teams….wonderful weather…great golf at the Links at Galloway….strong organization and leadership from Chairman Steve Ganong and his volunteer committee…much-appreciated support from PGA pro Sean McFetridge and his staff…a sporting and financial success on October 25, 2024.

For the first time, we honored the memory and accomplishments of one of our own, Hillman Robbins, Je…..former U.S. Amateur and NCAA collegiate champion and winner of over 60 amateur tourneys.

Financial success begins with good sponsors, and we had a large number, including Varsity Spirit, Love Worth Finding Ministries, Jason’s Deli, Super-Lo, State Farm-Michelle Agnew Agency, Town Village at Audubon Square, McAllister’s Deli, Memphis Police Sports Federation, and many MASHOF members.

Special thanks goes out to Linda Street, Glenn Greenwell, Charlie McCulley,  Lynn Alford, Dan Richards and Chris Luhrs for their exceptionable contributions.

The Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame Golf Scramble is currently the only fundraiser the Hall of Fame. For the last several years we have had no major sponsors for our organization, so this gives the golf tournament increased significance. All profits from this event help fund the Annual Induction Banquet. We cannot thank our sponsors enough for contributing to the success of the tournament and the banquet.

Since 1970, people like you have generously helped the Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame recognize deserving candidates for induction into this prestigious organization. The Hall of Fame also participates in community outreach programs that promote athletics in the Memphis Metropolitan area. In addition, the Hall of Fame awards scholarships to deserving student/athletes at our annual awards banquet.
