The Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame (MASHOF) is a private not-for-profit tax exempt organization funded completely by individuals and businesses. Funds are raised at the annual Lloyd Sowell Memorial Golf Tournament and through the strong financial support from several area businesses. There are four elected officials who serve the organization and the general membership meets bi-monthly. The four officers, the immediate past president and ten members comprise the Selection Committee that reviews nominees for the MASHOF. All nominees are presented to the membership for discussion prior to selection.

All members are welcome to attend the Hall of Fame Membership Meetings, occurring bi-monthly. Dinner is served at 6:00 p.m., followed by the meeting starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. The meeting location is at Appling Farms Police Precinct (6850 Appling Farms Pkwy, Memphis, TN 38133).
